We only access free/busy availability information from connected calendars. This allows us to check whether a time slot is available or already booked.
We do not access, read, store, or modify:
- Event titles
- Event descriptions
- Attendees
- Any other detailed calendar data
The accessed availability data is used strictly for:
- Preventing double bookings across platforms
- Ensuring accurate scheduling for business users
We do not use this data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics unrelated to scheduling.
We do not store calendar data beyond what is necessary to perform real-time availability checks.

Text message notifications
When you sign up for ReferMe Marketplace, you provide a mobile phone number as part of registration. We may send you text messages about your account and appointments on the platform. These are service messages only, we do not send promotional or marketing texts.
You may receive texts to:
- Verify your account or reset your password (one-time codes)
- Keep you updated on your appointments (confirmations, declines, completions, reschedules, refunds, and reminders)
If you offer services on the platform, we may also text the phone number on your account about bookings, reschedules, and payments for your business, not by sharing another user's phone number with you.
How many messages you receive depends on how you use ReferMe, for example, sign-up verification, password resets, and appointment activity. For a confirmed appointment, you may get up to two reminder texts (about 24 hours and 1 hour before the scheduled time), plus texts when the status changes. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop appointment and reminder texts, reply STOP to any ReferMe message. To start receiving them again, reply START. For help, reply HELP. Account verification and password reset codes may still be sent by text when needed for account security, even if you have opted out of other messages.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your phone number with other companies, advertisers, or third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in information and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We ask for your phone number so we can send you verification codes when you sign up or reset your password, and text messages about your appointments on ReferMe Marketplace. We use it only for those reasons.
Data Retention & Security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
